Free & Confidential Consumer Health Information Assistance – Lewes

Free and confidential consumer health information assistance will be offered at the Lewes Public Library, 111 Adams Avenue in Lewes, on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on a drop-in basis.
A certified Consumer Health Information Specialist (CHIS) will be available to assist with gathering and understanding medical and health information on a variety of topics. From learning more about conditions and illnesses, medical tests, prescription drugs, and medical procedures to understanding mental health and making healthy life choices, this service aims to empower community members to find and use reliable information about their health needs.
No appointment is necessary, and assistance will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, call the library at 302-645-2733 or email dana.ravyn@lib.de.us.
CHIS certification is granted by the Medical Library Association and reflects a dedication to offering quality health information services and staying current with the developments in consumer health information resources, technologies, and services.
