Ellendale Woman Charged in Attempted Stabbing in Georgetown

An Ellendale woman has been arrested by Georgetown Police after they responded to an attempted stabbing in the McDonalds parking lot. Police were called and found 25 year old Rykia Weston holding a kitchen knife – she was arrested without incident. Police learned that Weston and her boyfriend were arguing when she pulled the knife and tried to stab him several times. The boyfriend was not injured. Police say alcohol is a factor. Weston is charged with aggravated menacing and other offenses.
