Early Sunday Morning Fire at Delmar Church Accidental

Firefighters in Delmar were called for a structure fire Sunday morning just after 3am. Crews arriving at the scene found fire in The First Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ on North 2^nd Street. Crews from Laurel, Sharptown and Salisbury assisted or provided backup. Delaware State Fire investigators say the fire was caused by an electrical malfunction inside the church.

No injuries were reported, but heavy fire damage is estimated at $250,000.
