Early Morning Fire Damages Rehoboth Eatery

The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating a fire this morning at Shrimpy’s Pub on Rehoboth Avenue in Rehoboth. While Rehoboth Beach Fire Command was in route just after 2am, the dispatch center advised that Rehoboth Beach PD were on scene reporting fully involved with explosions.
Firefighters found flames coming from the building when they arrived. Multiple crews helped to battle the blaze or provide backup. No injuries were reported.
Investigators are still looking for the cause and origin of the fire. Two other units in the Henlopen Junction Shopping Center were damaged. Damage is estimated at $500,000.
