Early Morning Crash Leaves Georgetown Man Dead

UPDATED – 11/27/23 – Delaware State Police have identified 26 year-old Bernardino Perez-Garcia of Georgetown, Delaware, as the man who died in a fatal crash that occurred in Georgetown on Sunday, November 26 on Route 9 in the Harbeson area.

ORIGINAL STORY – 11/26/23 – A Georgetown man is dead after a crash early Sunday morning on Route 9 in the Harbeson area. Delaware State Police say just after 1am a 26 year old man was eastbound on Route 9 when his Santa Fe went off the roadway, struck a tree and caught fire. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld until his family is notified.
The investigation is continuing.
