UPDATED: Burglary Suspect Arrested Last Week Nabbed by Lewes PD
UPDATED – 7/25/18 – Lewes Police have arrested a Rehoboth man for a burglary at the Lewes Yacht Club on July 16th. Police say 30 year old David Honeycutt went into the Yacht Club around 5pm while the club was open and went to the employee area and took property from three purses. He was scared off by a club employee and left, but surveillance video led police to his positive identification. Honeycutt was already being held at SCI on charges from the Delaware State Police – but is now also charged by Lewes Police for 3rd degree burglary, 3 counts of theft and 2 counts of criminal mischief and remains at SCI in Georgetown.

UPDATED 7/17/18: An arrest by Delaware State Police in connection with multiple burglaries in the Lewes and Millsboro areas. During their investigation Police identified 40 year old David Honeycutt of Rehoboth Beach as the suspect. He was arrested at his girlfriend’s home in the Ridings at Rehoboth today. Police say he entered multiple businesses and took cash from at least 3 daycares and a kennel. He is charged with 3 counts of burglary, theft, criminal mischief and more – with additional charges pending.

The investigation into several burglaries last week is continuing. Delaware State Police say the suspect went into 3 day care centers and a dog kennel in the Lewes and Millsboro areas and took cash. The suspect is white, male, 20 to 30 years old and about 5’ 9” to 6-feet tall and 180 to 205 pounds with a distinct tattoo on his right forearm. If you have information – contact Crime Stoppers
