DSP to Hold Police Memorial Wreath Laying Ceremony
The Delaware State Police will hold an annual Police Memorial Service and Wreath-Laying Ceremony at the Delaware State Police Training Academy on North DuPont Highway in Dover.
The service will take place Wednesday, May 1 beginning at 9:30 a.m. Fellow Troopers, Family members, relatives and friends will gather along with Governor John Carney, Lt. Governor Bethany Hall-Long, Attorney General Kathy Jennings, Safety and Homeland Security Secretary Robert Coupe, DSP Colonel Nathaniel McQueen Jr., Lt. Thomas Brackin of the Delaware State Troopers Associations and Mrs. Eleanor Allione.
The event will honor Troopers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the state of Delaware. 24 Troopers have lost their lives in the line of duty since 1923.
