UPDATED: DSP Looking for Suspect(s) in Two Capitol Green Shooting Incidents
Delaware State Police were called TO State Circle in Dover after shots were fired just before 7 Saturday night at a 31 year old man who left his Capitol Park home and was walking to his car which was parked at the end of his driveway. Police say the victim was not struck but seven rounds were fired – which struck the victim’s home and two other vehicles. A search turned up multiple 9mm and 40 caliber shell casings from the roadway and yard at the home. Police say there is currently no suspect or motive for the shooting. On Friday a 39 year old woman sitting in her vehicle in front of a residence on South Governor’s Boulevard in Capital Park was shot in the upper body after she heard multiple gunshots just after 9pm. She was taken to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for treatment. Delaware State Police located one 45 caliber shell casing at the scene, but have no suspect or motive for the shooting.
