DSP Investigating Lewes-Area Home Invasion

Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion Thursday night just after 11 at a home on Ward Road west of Lewes. Police learned that a 61 year old man was asleep when two unknown armed suspects entered his home and demanded money. Police say the suspects assaulted the victim – hitting him in the head with a gun – then the suspects left empty handed. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Police describe the suspects as black men, wearing dark-colored clothing and were armed with what appeared to be handguns. If you have information – contact Crime Stoppers.
