UPDATED: DSP Investigating Deadly Crash Near Seaford Sunday Morning
UPDATED – 5/15/23 – The Delaware State Police have identified the man who died in a fatal single motor vehicle crash on May 14, 2023, in the Seaford area as 33 year old Jamie Phillips of Bridgeville.

A Bridgeville man is dead after a crash just after 5:30 Sunday morning near Seaford. Delaware State Police say a 33 year old Bridgeville man was westbound on Hearns Pond Road and nearing the intersection with Conrail Road at a high rate of speed. He failed to stop at a 4-way stop and his Corolla went airborne when it went over the railroad crossing. The Corolla landed on the roadway and began to rotate off the road through ditch and struck a tree. The driver was not properly restrained and was pronounced dead at the scene.
