DSP Investigate Attempted Robbery of Gumboro Liquor Store

The investigation continues into an attempted robbery at the Gumboro Liquor Store on Millsboro Highway Thursday just after 9pm. Delaware State Police say a man, armed with a handgun, demanded money from a female employee who was behind the counter. The clerk refused to hand over the cash and the suspect ran out of the store and drove west on Whitesville Road. The suspect is male, 20 to 30 years old and wore all black clothing, glasses and wore a mask over his face. Anyone with information should contact State Police or Crime Stoppers – 800-TIP-3333.
