Drivers issued violations for passing school buses in Bridgeville during DSP safety initiative
Drivers were issued violations after they passed school buses during a Delaware State Police safety initiative in Bridgeville.
Delaware State Police were out and about in Bridgeville making sure kids got on their buses safely as part of the “School Bus Safety Law Initiative.”
Troopers from Troop 5 hosted a school bus initiative for the Woodbridge School District where ten troopers in marked and unmarked patrol vehicles followed 10 school buses on their routes to school.
The goal was to enforce school bus laws in an effort to keep children safe in the community.
Two motorists were issued traffic violations for passing a school bus during the initiative.
Troopers in marked vehicles were also proactive by being visible behind buses to deter violations, and school bus pamphlets were handed out educating the public on the school bus law and penalties.
