Dover Police Investigate Shooting

Dover Police are investigating a shooting that left a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his foot.

Officers responded to a report of ‘shots fired’ in the area of South New Street and West Reed Street Thursday night.
The victim was taken to a local hospital.

According to police, the victim has not been cooperative with the investigation. Police have determined that the suspect got out of a car at South Governors Avenue and Division Street and opened fire on a group of people nearby, then fled back to the parked car.
