Dover Police Arrest Man For Two Shooting Incidents
Dover Police have arrested 22-year-old Jaquell McDonald in connection with two shooting incidents that took place on Wednesday, June 12 and Thursday, June 13.
The first incident took place around 10 p.m. on Wednesday in the 100 block of Willis Road. Officers responded for reports of multiple shots fired at vehicles and residences in the area. A witness provided police with cell phone photos of a gray Ford truck and 4-door sedan that fled after the shots were fired.
Then around 12:09 a.m. on Thursday morning, officers responded to the area of Stevenson Drive near Manchester Square for reported shots fired. They received a suspect description and later located McDonald fleeing the scene and took him into custody. Officers located a .40 caliber handgun and the keys to a Ford F-150 pick-up truck.
McDonald was charged with Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, 6 counts of First Degree Reckless Endangerment and 5 counts of Criminal Mischief. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in Dover on default of 75,000 dollars cash bond.
