Dover Man Arrested for Distributing Illegal Drugs

Delaware State Police have arrested a Dover man following an investigation in the distribution of illegal drugs.

On Wednesday around 11:30 a.m., Troopers who were investigating 42-year-old Ronald O. Freeman for drug distribution received information that he was traveling out of state to pick up drugs. Freeman’s vehicle was stopped at the intersection of Bay Road and SR 10 and a search warrant was obtained for his vehicle. Freeman was taken into custody without incident. A search of his vehicle uncovered approximately 365.07 grams of cocaine, 6.15 grams of marijuana, over 200 dollars in suspected drug proceeds and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Freeman was charged with Possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 5 quantity, Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 4 quantity and possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on 40,500 dollars secured bond.
