Dover Crash Leaves 1 Dead, 3 Injured
A crash just after 8:30 Saturday morning has left a 14 year old dead and three injured. Delaware State Police say a Kia Forte driven by a 35 year old Dover man, was speeding on Fast Landing Road near Dover and went off the roadway in a curve and struck a tree. The Kia overturned and struck several other trees before coming to a stop.
Police say a 13 year old girl, who was not properly restrained in the rear seat was ejected. Two others in the rear seat – a 7 year old boy was in the center seat and a 14 year old girl – were also not properly restrained. The 14 year old was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, who was properly restrained and other two passengers were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
