Demolition of Royal Treat Building in Rehoboth Beach

The demolition of the former Royal Treat building on Wilmington Avenue in Rehoboth Beach is almost complete. The city issued a demolition permit in October, and removal of the building began about two weeks ago. As the Cape Gazette reports, prior to the Royal Treat, the building was home to a few different businesses offering room and board 鈥搃ncluding Reverend Morgan鈥檚 boarding house, Thawley鈥檚 Hotel and the Royalton Hotel.聽
