DelDOT Watching for Flooded Roads During Storm
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) officials will be monitoring today’s forecast which is producing heavy rain and flooding.
The following roads are either closed or have high water on the roadway in New Castle and Kent counties.
DelDOT encourages motorists to drive carefully and be alert for water on the roadways.Motorists are urged do not drive through standing water. Please remember that as the water clears, the roadways will reopen to motorists.
New Castle County
Route 9/River Road is CLOSED between Dobbinsville and Grantham Lane
Route 9/River Road has high water between Governor Lea Road and Hamburg Road
Airport Road is CLOSED between McArthur Drive and I-95
Route 299 is CLOSED in the area of the Appoquinimink River
US 13 Northbound has high water at South Walnut Street Bridge (Right Lane is Closed)
Kent County
Deep Grass Lane has high water between Williamsville Road and Teatown Road
Moorton Road has high water in the area of Willis Branch Creek
Hills Market Road has high water in the area of Route 12
DelDOT’s maintenance crews are removing trees and debris on the roadways.
At this time, there are no roadways closed due to high water in Sussex county.
