DelDOT Traffic Alert: Intersection Improvements to Start Next Month on Route 1 Between Route 24 and Old Landing Road

Lane Closures on Route 1 between Route 24 and Old Landing Road will start Tuesday, September 5th and continue through late November (weather permitting) due to work that will be done to improve the intersection. Improvements include the extension of the SR 1 southbound U-turn Lane approaching Old Landing Road and removal of one of two SR 1 northbound left-turn lanes approaching Rehoboth Mall Boulevard and the reconstruction of the concrete median and storm drains. You can expect Route 1 to be reduced from three lanes to two as well as on Old Landing Road– single left turn lane closure Monday through Friday 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. during those weeks.
