DelDot Advises Motorists of Upcoming Roadwork in Bethany, Dagsboro
Delaware’s Department of Transportation says milling, paving and striping work is set to take place in the coming weeks along a series of roads in Bethany and Dagsboro, which is expected to cause lane and shoulder closures.
According to DelDot the work will take place on Fred Hudson Road from Central Avenue to Route 1, Central Avenue from Assawoman Canal Bridge to Taylor Drive and on Vines Creek Road from Swamp Road to Helm Street. Weather pending, the work is set to take from from March 11 to April 12 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
Officials say George & Lynch Inc. has been contracted to do the work, that will include ADA sidewalk improvements along Vine Creek Street.
Motorists should be aware that construction personnel and equipment may be operating in close proximity to travel lanes. Lane shifts and sharing may be in place with Flaggers on-site to direct motorists.
