Delaware’s Teacher of the Year to be Announced Tonight

Delaware’s 2019 Teacher of the Year will be announced tonight.  The annual awards banquet will be held at the Dover Downs Hotel & Casino.  There are 20 public and charter school teachers who have been chose as the outstanding teacher for their district because of their superior ability to inspire students with a love of learning, exemplary demonstration of professional traits and a strong sense of dedication and devotion to teaching.  Delaware’s winner will be the state’s nominee in the national program and will receive a $5000 grant use for the educational benefit of their students and a personal grant of $3000 and a $2000 grant from the state.
