Delaware Unemployment Slightly Lower

Delaware’s unemployment rate in September was 0.8% higher than the national rate of 3.5%. State Labor officials attribute the state’s higher unemployment rate of 4.3% to slower growth in the State’s labor force. Sussex County’s unemployment rate is lower than the state average at 3.5%. Both the State and Sussex County have shown decreases in unemployment since August ā and over the past year.
