Delaware State Police honors graduates of the Citizen’s Police Academy
Delaware State Police recognized 20 graduates during a ceremony for the Citizen’s Police Academy Class on Tuesday at the Delaware State Police Troop 3.
The academy class learned about a wide variety of police activities consistent with what a Delaware Trooper experiences today during the nine consecutive sessions.
The class started on September 3, 2019 to October 29, 2019, included criminal and traffic investigations, special units, tours, and various other law enforcement related topics. Additionally, the participants had the opportunity to ride with patrol troopers.
During the program, the CPA attendees sacrificed their valuable time to learn more about the DSP and it various units.
On the final night of the program, the class was recognized by the keynote speaker, Superintendent of the Delaware State Police, Colonel Nathaniel McQueen Jr., who presented formal certificates of appreciation to the class attendees.
Two class speakers, Mr. James Stewart and Mr. Mark Pleasanton offered a few remarks highlighting the accomplishments over the past nine weeks.
