Delaware DPH Director to Testify Before Congress on Opioid Crisis

Dr. Karyl Rattay, the Director of Delaware’s Division of Public Health will testify before the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Reform regarding the nation’s ongoing opioid crisis.

The hearing, which will take place on Thursday, May 9 at 11 a.m. will focus on the coordination of national drug control efforts including efforts to expand access for treatment for substance use disorder. Dr. Rattay is expected to discuss Delaware’s efforts pertaining to prevention, increasing access to treatment, harm reduction, data and surveillance and the importance of coordination of resources at the state and federal level.
