Delaware Awarding Millions to Cities and Towns for Revitalization
February 15, 2019
The State of Delaware will be awarding millions of dollars to help revitalize several areas in the state, including towns and cities in Kent and Sussex counties.
The state will use 4.6 million dollars for projects that will revitalize downtown areas in Dover, Milford and Wilmington. The projects will be funded through rebates from the Downtown Development Districts programs.
Since the first rebates were awarded in 2015, the Delaware State Housing Authority says the Downtown Development Districts program has served as a “catalyst for private investments in Delaware’s downtowns.”
