Del. House Releases Legislative District Maps, With A Few Changes

Final maps of 41 Delaware House of Representative districts have been released, days before the General Assembly meets in a special redistricting session to vote on House and Senate district maps in one combined bill.

The maps can be viewed at : https://legis.delaware.gov/Redistricting/2022FinalHouseDistricts.

The special session will take place Monday at Legislative Hall in Dover. If the bill is approved, it would go to Governor John Carney for his signature.

According to House leaders, a few revisions were made following suggestions from the public and comments made at public hearings concerning the initial draft maps:

-Dove Knoll will remain as a community of interest in the 14th District

-the Peninsula on Indian River Bay community of interest near Long Neck will become part of the new 4th District

-the community of interest between Milford and Frederica will be retained in the 33rd District
