October 19, 2019/
For the third month in a row – unemployment in Delaware has risen – one-tenth of a point – and in September was at 3.5% – right where it was at the start of the year. In Sussex County it dropped from 3.5% in August to 3.4% in September. Statewide, the Department of Labor says there has been an increase of 8000 jobs over the past 12 months, but much of the increase in employment has been in the past 2 months – coming from professional and business services and leisure and hospitality.
