DE Unemployment Drops Below National Level

In June, Delaware’s unemployment rate dropped below 4% for the first time since February of 2008 – and the first time since February of last year that the state’s rate – now at 3.9% is below the national unemployment rate of 4.0%.  There were 3100 fewer unemployed Delawareans last month than a year ago.  In Sussex County unemployment was at 3.7% – higher than the month before but significantly lower than a year ago.
