DE State Treasurer-Elect Colleen Davis Sentenced
December 20, 2018/
Democratic Delaware treasurer-elect Colleen Davis, who was charged with driving on a suspended license and other offenses following a traffic stop, has pleaded guilty to speeding. The remaining charges were dropped.
Davis entered her plea Thursday morning in the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas. She was ordered by Commissioner Michael Bucklin聽 to pay a fine of about $120 and received two points on her license.
Davis was charged with two misdemeanors and cited for three traffic violations after a trooper stopped for her speeding on Nov. 13, one week after she defeated Republican incumbent Ken Simpler.
This is the fourth incident since 1997 where Davis has been charged with driving on a suspended license.
