Unemployment has taken a downturn throughout the First State in April.  Sussex County dropped from 3.7% in March to 3.3% in April – the state’s April unemployment was at 3.2% – the lowest in 30 years!  That’s still lower than the national average which fell from 3.8% in March to 3.6% in April.  Labor officials in Delaware report that the number of residents employed and the state’s labor force both rose modestly.  Increases were seen in wholesale trade, professional and business services and state and local government.
