DART Pass – A New Way to Pay to Travel Delaware

DART Pass is the newest option to pay for your fare – and eliminates the need for a paper ticket or cash.  Dart Pass is available on the enhanced free DelDOT app – and will display a digital pass on your phone screen.  Fares available for mobile purchase include a one-way ride, reduced fare one-way ride – with ID, a daily pass and new 7-Day and 30-Day passes.  Right now the new mobile fares are valid for one zone only – but multiple tickets can be used for multi-zone travel.  Multi-zone tickets will be available at a later date.

The process is simple. First, download the DelDOT app available for free at the Apple and Google Play stores.  Find DART Pass under the Transit icon.  Once your account is set up with a credit or debit card, select the fare type that you’d like to purchase, from a single ride to a 30-Day pass.  Activate your mobile fare upon boarding the bus.  A pop-up message appears with the expiration date/time.  Confirm to activate, then show the Operator your device and tap your screen to display the moving green image, and off you go.
