Dagsboro Man Arrested in Millsboro on Drug Charges
Delaware State Police have apprehended 28-year-old Kevin D. Handy Jr. of Dagsboro following a traffic stop that uncovered numerous drugs, paraphernalia and traffic infractions.
Troopers say they witnessed a tan colored Mercedes Benz traveling northbound on Long Neck Road in Millsboro. Authorities initiated a traffic stop then detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was later conducted.
Authorities uncovered 377 bags of heroin, 3.67 grams of cocaine, 3.84 grams of marijuana, over 300 dollars in suspected drug proceeds and drug paraphernalia.
He was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 2 quantity, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 2 quantity, 2 counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, possession of marijuana for personal use and improper tail lights.
Handy was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on 51,502 dollars secured bond.
