UPDATED: Crash West of Millsboro Leaves 1 Dead and 4 Injured

UPDATED  7/17/18:  Delaware State Police have released the name of the Maryland man who died Sunday in a crash on Millsboro Highway in the area of Nine Foot Road.  Police say 66 year old David Barry of Eden was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

A crash on Millsboro Highway at Nine Foot Road has left one person dead.  Delaware State Police continue to investigate but say that a Nissan driven by a 48 year old Laurel woman was southbound on Millsboro Highway and was waiting to turn left onto Nine Foot Road.  For some reason she failed to remain stopped and turned into the path of a BMW that was northbound on Millsboro Highway.  The BMW was driven by a 66 year old Eden man who tried to avoid the collision but could not.  The driver of the Nissan and her three passengers were properly restrained and were treated for minor injuries and released.  The driver of the BMW was not properly restrained and was transported to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital with serious injuries and later died.
