UPDATED: Crash West of Millsboro Leaves 1 Dead; Millsboro Hwy Reopened
UPDATED:聽 A 6 year old is dead after a 3 vehicle crash west of Millsboro Sunday morning. Delaware State Police say a Cherokee was eastbound on Lowes Crossing Road when the driver, a 30 year old woman from Frankford failed to stop for a posted stop sign and collided with a van that was northbound on Millsboro Highway. The van rotated into the front of a pickup that was stopped at the stop sign on Bald Branch Road. Police say all the drivers were properly restrained. A 6 year old passenger in the back of the Cherokee was properly restrained but was pronounced dead at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. Two of the drivers were treated for non-life threatening injuries. Police say impairment doesn’t appear to be a factor for either driver.

4pm – Millsboro Highway has been reopened to traffic

Millsboro Highway is closed in the area of Lowes Crossing Road after a crash just before noon today. Delaware State Police tell WGMD three vehicles were involved in the crash and one person has died. Emergency personnel from Gumboro, Millsboro, Dagsboro and Frankford responded to the scene when additional ambulances were requested. Drivers should look for an alternate route. Millsboro Highway is closed between Bradford and Daisey Roads.
