Crash South of Milton Leaves 1 Dead & 2 Injured
A Rehoboth Beach woman is dead after a crash Saturday night at 8 near the intersection of Gravel Hill Road and Shingle Point Road south of Milton. Delaware State Police say a Chevy Cruz driven by a 19 year old Milford woman failed to stop at a stop sign on Shingle Point Road and was struck by a pickup truck that was northbound on Gravel Hill Road. Police say the pickup left the roadway and overturned on its side before hitting a fence post and tree.
Both drivers and a passenger in the pickup were properly restrained – the driver of the pickup was not injured – the other two were treated for injuries.
The passenger in the Cruz, an 18 year old woman from Rehoboth Beach, was not properly restrained and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police ask anyone who saw the crash to contact Troop 7 – 302-703-3269 or Crime Stoppers 800-TIP-3333.
