UPDATED: Crash North of Milford Leaves 1 Dead and 4 Injured

UPDATED – 10-06- 2pm – A woman from Buffalo, New York was killed in a crash north of Milford Friday afternoon.  Delaware State Police say a Grand Marquis driven by 75 year old Rosemary Holmberg was the last vehicle struck in a chain reaction crash and ended up head on into a utility pole.  The crash started when a Bonneville driven by 28 year old Shane Fenimore struck the rear of a moving Rav 4 in the northbound lanes.  The Rav 4 went through the median and head on into a Yukon which struck the Grand Marquis.  The drivers of the Rav 4 and Yukon and passengers in each were taken to Milford Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.   Fenimore was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

A chain reaction crash just after 1pm Friday on Route 1 north of Milford has left one person dead and four injured.  Delaware State Police continue to investigate, but say the driver of a Bonneville bumped the rear of a Rav 4 moving northbound.  The driver of the Rav 4 lost control and crossed the center median and struck a southbound Yukon nearly head-on.  The Yukon then struck a Grand Marquis also traveling southbound which struck a utility pole.  The driver of the Grand Marquis, a 75 year old woman from New York died from her injuries at Kent General Hospital.  The driver and passenger in the Rav 4 – two men from Rehoboth and Millsboro and a man and woman from New Jersey in the Yukon were all taken to Milford Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The driver of the Bonneville, 28 year old Shane Fenimore of Millsboro was not injured, but was found wanted on an active warrant and arrested.
