UPDATED: Crash in Milton Leaves NJ Man Dead

UPDATED – 7/30/19 – Delaware State Police have identified the man who was killed in a crash early Monday morning on Chestnut Street in the town limits of Milton, as 48-year-old George Berkowitz of Hamburg, NJ. The crash remains under investigation.

A crash just before 1 Monday morning in Milton has left an New Jersey man dead. Delaware State Police continue to investigate, but say an Impala was was eastbound on Chestnut Street at a high rate of speed when the car left the roadway near Church Street and struck a tree. The driver, a 48 year old man from Hamburg, NJ was ejected. Police say he was not properly restrained and was pronounced dead at the scene. Debris from the vehicle struck an occupied home, but there were no injuries to anyone in the home.
