Camper Trailer Explosion in Stockton Leaves 1 Dead

One person is dead after a camper trailer exploded on Silva Road in Stockton Saturday morning. Stockton Volunteer Fire Company and Pocomoke EMS were called just before 9am for a reported explosion with injury. Fire officials arrive at the scene found a camper trailer that experienced an over pressurization – an 80 year old victim was found with burn injuries over 90% of his body. The victim was treated at the scene and flown to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, but he later died from his injuries.

Worcester County Fire Marshal Investigators say the cause is accidental – the victim was trying to use the stove inside the trailer when the explosion occurred.
