Troopers say their investigation began in April when they responded to a rash of thefts involving aluminum concrete forms from several job sites. On July 10 around 9:15 p.m., Troopers were in the area of Pearsons Corner Road and Hazletville Road in Hartly, when they observed a dark colored Chevy Blazer driving at a slow rate of speed while shining what appeared to be a flashlight onto the property. The vehicle turned into the construction lot where concrete forms were being stored. The operator of the vehicle exited with his flashlight in hand and began searching through a pile of concrete forms.

Further investigation revealed that there was a Chevy pickup truck in the man’s driveway containing suspected stolen concrete forms. Troopers arrested 56-year-old Mark T. Long and took him into custody, charging him with 7 counts of Felony Theft and 4 counts of Third Degree Criminal Trespass. Long was released on his own recognizance.
