Cambridge Man Sentenced For Running Over Police Officer

A Cambridge man has been sentenced for assaulting a city police officer in the summer of 2018.

28-year-old Armand Cornish hit the officer with a vehicle in June of last year. The officer then shot Cornish in self defense, causing him to spend months in the hospital. The suspect pleaded guilty to multiple counts of assault, including at least one felony.

On Tuesday, Cornish was sentenced to three years in prison and will serve five years on probation with drug and alcohol testing included.
