BVSPCA Aids Georgetown Breeder Overrun with Dogs
August 9, 2018
A Georgetown dog breeder was aided by the Brandywine Valley SPCA’s Georgetown facility last weekend after a Delaware Office of Animal Welfare visit in July issued corrective notices for unsanitary conditions and medical issues. A team of 15 medical and animal personnel and 2 vets cared for all the dogs with age-appropriate vaccinations, testing and the like – the breeder voluntarily surrendered 58 of the 161 dogs to the Georgetown Campus – most are adult to senior animals – and some are expected to ready for adoption soon.
