Bridgeville Vehicle Crash Leaves 1 in Critical Condition

A crash just before 4:30 Sunday morning has left one person in critical condition. Delaware State Police say a Toyota Cruiser driven by a 33 year old Georgetown man was southbound on Route 13. A Corolla driven by a 55 year old Bridgeville man was stopped in the southbound left turn at the red light. The Cruiser went into the left turn lane, but the driver failed to see the stopped Corolla and struck the Corolla from behind. The Corolla was pushed across the northbound lanes stopping in the grass on the northbound shoulder. The Cruiser came to a stop on the southbound shoulder – the driver was flown to an area hospital in critical condition. The investigation is continuing.
