Bridgeville Man Charged after Domestic and Crash in Harrington
Harrington Police were called to the Walgreens on Sunday evening for a domestic dispute – but while on their way police were advised of a vehicle accident south of the fairgrounds that might be related to the domestic. The passenger ran off on foot and was chased and stopped by an off-duty officer. He was identified as 28 year old Edward Stewart of Bridgeville and had been in possession of over 33 grams of marijuana that he threw while he was running. Police say that in the car, Stewart began to assault the victim who pulled over near the Walgreens and ran into the store. Stewart left in the victim’s car and crashed south of the fairgrounds. Stewart is charged with a variety of of drug and other offenses – including DUI. The victim was treated for minor injuries.
