UPDATE | Police ID body found on the side of a road in Lincoln

A body that was discovered along the side of a road near Lincoln has been identified.

According to the Delaware State Police Department, troopers were dispatched to Fleatown Road in Lincoln shortly after 12 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28 to investigate reports that a body had been found on the side of the road.

Police arrived and located the body which has been identified by the Delaware Division of Forensic Science as 30-year-old Desiree Vincent of Lincoln, DE.

Police have yet to release a cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing at this time and further information will be released as it becomes available.
