UPDATED: Police Identify Body Found in Herring Creek

UPDATED 10-25-18 10am – Police have identified the victim as 49 year old Ronald Jones, Jr. The investigation is continuing.

A body was discovered in Herring Creek just after midnight this morning. Maryland State Police continue to investigate but say two people in a boat discovered the body of a man floating face own under the Herring Creek Bridge east of Berlin. The boaters brought the body to shore and called 9-1-1. The victim was declared dead at the scene and a preliminary investigation shows no signs of foul play and has been taken to the Medical Examiner for identification and autopsy.
