Blue Angels, Snowbirds Headline 2019 OC Airshow
The 2019 Ocean City Airshow begins on Saturday with hundreds of thousands of spectators pouring into the resort town to witness the aircrafts flying high above Ocean City.
Although the Air Show officially takes place over Saturday, June 15 and Sunday, June 16, some unofficial events are already underway. On Thursday, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and Canadian Forces Snowbirds took to the sky, with Blue Angel diamond circle maneuvers in the noon hour, Blue Angel solo circle maneuvers around 1 p.m., Snowbirds arrival at 2:30 p.m. and Blue Angels full rehearsals at 3 p.m. These are primarily rehearsals for the main events over the weekend.
In addition to the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and Canadian Force Snowbirds, there will also be a C-17 Globemaster III, parachute jump teams, professional narration and musical performances as well as food from Grotto Pizza.
This is the 12th annual Ocean City Air Show and it has continually grown over the years, according the State of Maryland’s Tourism Board.
