Blood Bank of Delmarva running dry

The Blood Bank of Delmarva is experiencing a major shortage. 10 blood drives were cancelled last month because of severe weather, which caused more than 600 blood and platelet donations to go uncollected. Officials say the intense flu season also added to the shortage. Health officials are making an urgent call for donations and say that O-negative and platelet blood donations are particularly needed right now.
