Bicyclist Injured Wednesday Morning After Struck by Van on Route 24 at Long Neck

Indian River Fire Company, Mid-Sussex Rescue and County Paramedics were called for a bicyclist struck by a vehicle just before 8:30 Wednesday morning near the McDonald’s on Route 24 at Long Neck. Officials say that the bicyclist was struck by a white work style van with ladders on top. The bicyclist was injured – the van did not remain at the crash site and officials say the bicycle was moved to the shoulder of the roadway before emergency personnel arrived at the scene.

Delaware State Police are investigating.
