Berlin Woman Sentenced for Embezzlement, Theft and Forgery

A Berlin woman has been sentenced for embezzlement and other offenses. On Friday 51 year old Theresa Kolacz was sentenced to serve 10 years in prison. She was convicted of theft over $100,000, embezzlement and forgery in December. Police were notified last May by officials at the St George’s Greek Orthodox Church in Ocean City that they believed Kolacz was stealing money from the church. An investigation revealed she had taken over $141,000 – taking cash and writing checks to herself.
