Berlin Man Sentenced for Distributing Cocaine

A 35-year-old Berlin, Maryland man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to distribution of cocaine. The charges resulted from an investigation in which an undercover officer purchased an amount of cocaine from Charles Lamar Johnson in Berlin. Detectives then obtained a search and seizure warrant for Johnson’s residence. They found an amount of cash, several cell phones, and a digital scale with cocaine residue. On December 13, 2022, Johnson was indicted on charges including distribution and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
